Absolutely. Your options are stored only in your browser and never sent to any server. We use no tracking cookies.

Accepted Answer

Yes! Check our giveaway compliance guide for legal considerations in your jurisdiction.

Question 5

Does it work on mobile?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Open Spin Wheel is fully responsive and works on all devices — phones, tablets, and desktops.

Question 6

How does the wheel decide who wins?

Accepted Answer

Open Spin Wheel uses the Web Crypto API to generate cryptographically secure random numbers. When you spin the wheel, the browser generates a random value that determines where the wheel stops. The algorithm uses rejection sampling to eliminate any bias, ensuring every segment has exactly equal probability. This means the result is truly random and cannot be predicted or manipulated.

Question 7

Is the spinning wheel rigged or biased?

Accepted Answer

No. Open Spin Wheel is provably fair. We use the browser's built-in cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues) combined with rejection sampling to eliminate modulo bias. The wheel's visual animation is purely cosmetic — the actual result is determined by a secure random number, not by the animation. You can verify that each option has exactly equal probability of winning.

Question 8

Can I customize the wheel colors, sounds, and options?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Open Spin Wheel offers several customization options. You can enter any number of custom options (one per line), adjust the spin duration (short, normal, or long), toggle sound effects on or off, and change the font size for wheel text. The wheel automatically assigns distinct colors to each segment. You can also import options from a CSV or text file, and share your wheel configuration via a unique link.

Question 9

How do I use the spinning wheel for a raffle or giveaway?

Accepted Answer

To use Open Spin Wheel for a raffle: 1) Enter all participant names or entries into the text area (one per line). 2) Share the wheel link with participants for transparency. 3) Click Spin to randomly select a winner. 4) The result popup shows the winner — you can remove them and spin again for multiple winners. 5) Use the export feature to save the results history. For legal compliance, make sure to publish clear rules and include a no-purchase-necessary clause.
